The recently renovated old cunucu style Aruban home meets a new era. Whilst the idea is to convert this place into a boutique apartment to accommodate tourist from all over, our client wanted to keep the true authenticity of the cunucu style house with all of todays amenities.
With the goal to minimize the carbon footprint we leave behind on the environment, C2 has done its utmost to use environmentally friendly materials during the recent remodeling of the property.
All lighting is LED which uses 90% less electricity than regular lamps. Water reducers, which cut down water flow by 60% were installed in all bathrooms and faucets. The client wanted to go a step further to minimize their footprint on the environment. A grey-water recycling system was also added to the property. Collected water from the showers, sinks, and rainwater will be recycled and used to water the lush tropical garden.
In addition to the renovation, extra apartments where build on the property along with an amazing pool. The 8 modern self-catered apartments are scattered throughout the 2,300 sqm property giving everyone privacy. The recently renovated Caribbean cunucu style apartments are fully equipped with a private terrace surrounded by the lush tropical garden.
